Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across the organisation, leveraging modern technologies to enhance the overall business strategy.
  • Manage IT governance, risk & cybersecurity, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of Microsoft Azure cloud services and Microsoft 365 end-user software.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external service providers and cross-departmental teams, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of IT services.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating innovation and transformation across the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree or National Diploma (NQF6-7) with at least 7 to 10 years of hands-on work-related equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and relevant security operations and compliance management tools.
  • Experience with applied methodologies and frameworks, specifically COBIT (governance, risk, or cybersecurity) framework.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal) and ability to convey complex technical concepts understandably.
  • Excellent team management skills and high emotional intelligence.
  • Experience collaborating with external service providers and cross-departmental teams, with exposure to SLAs outlining standard response times and deliverables.
  • Membership/Affiliation to professional bodies (e.g. ISACA) to stay updated with trends and best practices is beneficial
