Are you a skilled and ambitious Technical Support Engineer with 3-4 years of experience? Join a thriving Managed Services Provider based in the UK and Cape Town, the South African office is looking for a talented individual to join their growing team

 

Job Role:

  • Provide 1st to 3rd line support to clients globally via email, phone, and remote assistance.
  • Conduct on-site visits in the Greater London Area, troubleshooting, configuring, and implementing various IT solutions and services.
  • Collaborate with the team on complex problem resolution and assist in project rollouts.
  • Work flexible hours to support clients in different time zones (On-Call Rota).
  • Be proactive in improving customer IT systems and delivering excellent service.
  • Maximize system utilization and provide relevant training where necessary.
  • Maintain documentation for all systems, including hardware, software, and network topology.
  • Deliver complex projects for customers and assist with technical pre-sales, design, and project planning.

 

Essential Skills and Experience (3+ years):

  • Microsoft Windows (7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11) and Server (2008, 2012, 2012R2, 2016, 2019).
  • Cloud Platforms (M365 Suite, Azure, AWS & Google Cloud).
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, SharePoint, Exchange, and IIS.
  • Network Technology (VLAN, VPNs, Firewalls, Cyber Security, IP routing protocols).
  • Wireless network technologies (UniFi & Meraki).
  • SIP/IP Telephone Systems, Enterprise endpoint protection, and backup technologies.
  • Virtualization technologies (Standalone Hyper-V, Hyper-V clustering).
  • Application virtualization (Citrix), Terminal Services, and Storage Technologies.
  • Scripting and automation (PowerShell).
  • Infrastructure Maintenance and Alerting routines.

 

Desirable Certifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Microsoft 365, HP, FortiGate, SonicWall, Dell Certifications.
  • Mac OS, Autotask PSA and RMM, Microsoft SharePoint Configuration.
  • Project Management experience or certifications.
  • Technical Pre-Sales experience (design stage).
  • Remote Support, proactive trend identification, and resolution.
