We’re looking for a senior Linux engineer to join a dedicated support team delivering 3rd line support to a large enterprise client. You’ll own advanced troubleshooting, platform management, and maintenance across Linux infrastructure, acting as an escalation point for complex incidents.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert 3rd line support and troubleshooting for complex Linux incidents and problems
Lead planning, documentation, and execution of change and release activities, including patching and upgrades
Collaborate with third parties and specialists to maintain service stability, performance, and security
Maintain accurate configuration data and high-quality technical documentation
Act as an escalation point, driving complex issues to resolution with clear stakeholder communication
Identify and mitigate technical risks proactively
Work within an ITIL-based service management framework

What You’ll Need

5+ years as a 3rd line Linux engineer with strong, advanced troubleshooting skills
Expert-level Linux knowledge (Ubuntu and Red Hat)
Scripting/automation proficiency in Bash and PowerShell
Solid understanding of IT networking principles
Experience with Azure infrastructure and services
Experience with configuration management/monitoring tools (e.g. N-able)
Strong analytical skills and full incident ownership from report to resolution
Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical detail clearly
A degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

Nice to Have

Linux certifications (RHCSA, LPIC)
Azure certifications (e.g. AZ-900)
