A leading  IT managed services provider in Century City is looking for a senior Linux Platform Engineer to join a dedicated support team delivering 3rd line infrastructure services for a large enterprise client. This is a technically deep role for an engineer who owns complex incidents end-to-end and is as comfortable in the command line as they are communicating with senior stakeholders.

The Role

You will be the escalation point for complex Linux incidents and problems, driving resolution across a hybrid on-premise and cloud environment. Day-to-day you will be responsible for advanced troubleshooting, patch and upgrade management, configuration accuracy, and championing ITIL-based practices across the service management framework. You will collaborate closely with a Service Integrator, third-party vendors, and specialist teams to maintain stability, performance, and security.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing expert 3rd line support and advanced incident troubleshooting in Linux environments
  • Leading change and release activities, including patch management and upgrade planning
  • Acting as the escalation point for high-priority and complex incidents through to resolution
  • Maintaining configuration data and contributing to high-quality technical documentation
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating technical risk
  • Collaborating with vendors, integrators, and internal teams across a managed services framework

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years as a 3rd Line Linux Engineer with demonstrable advanced troubleshooting ability
  • Expert-level knowledge of Linux server environments, specifically Ubuntu and Red Hat
  • Proficiency in Bash and PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Azure infrastructure experience
  • Solid understanding of networking principles (DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, firewalls, routing)
  • Experience with configuration management and monitoring tools (e.g. N-able, Ansible, Zabbix, Prometheus)
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders
  • ITIL awareness and a collaborative, ownership-driven approach

Preferred

  • Linux certifications: RHCSA or LPIC
  • Microsoft Azure certification: AZ-900 or equivalent
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
