As an End User Workspace Specialist, you’ll provide expertise in End User Computing and Microsoft 365 service architecture, design, management, and configuration. You’ll implement and transform End User Workspace strategies, manage IT assets and services, and ensure the resilience of our computing estate and Microsoft 365 services.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support & Management: Collaborate to maintain and manage platforms for stability, performance, and security.
  • Incident & Problem Management: Handle 3rd line incidents and problems, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert, offering guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Continuous Development: Keep technical skills updated in a fast-paced environment.
  • Governance: Ensure adherence to industry frameworks and design principles.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science or related field, or extensive vocational experience.
  • Certifications: Microsoft 365 Security Administrator Associate, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Information Protection Administrator Associate, Teams Voice Engineer Expert, Enterprise Administrator Expert.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in Azure, Office 365, automation tools, identity management (IAM), and Microsoft 365 services.
  • Support Experience: Third- and fourth-line support in large organizations, incident resolution, and SLA management.
  • Communication: Exceptional skills to influence, inspire, and support diverse teams.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Platforms: Azure VMware Solution (AVS), Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune.
  • Security: Anti-Virus solutions (Windows Defender, Sophos, Trend, Symantec).
  • Servers: Windows Servers (2012-2019), Active Directory/Azure AD, Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Email: Exchange (2010-2019, Office 365).
  • Virtualization: VMWare, Hyper-V.
  • Backup Solutions: Asigra, Veeam.
  • Monitoring: OMS, N-able.
  • Networking: Azure Networking (NSG, VNETs, VPNs).
  • Scripting: PowerShell.
  • Linux: Ubuntu, Redhat administration.
  • Frameworks: Knowledge of ITIL and best-practice frameworks.

 

Knowledge

  • M365 platform, tenant’s configuration and associated services, relevant to Digital Workplace.
  • MS Teams Telephony and Messaging Exchange Online (configuration and filtering)
  • SharePoint Online and associated services, Power Apps development, Power Automate and the Power platform.
  • Windows 10 configuration, deployment and modern management
  • M365 purview, compliance and governance, including advanced email threat protection, data protection and policy management.
  • core End User Workspace technologies together with an understanding of the key technology providers
  • Developing End User Workspace solutions in a large Public Sector organisation
