Join a leading IT managed Services Company and work on client site as their Compute Technical Lead. To be focused around the smooth running of customers Desktop and Server environment ensuring availability is maintained at the highest level.

This is achieved by performing routine maintenance, implementing best practices etc. As an engineer you will be responsible for working on complex Incidents, Problems and Changes adhering to ITIL principles at all times.

You will also be required to support the Service desk and Desktop support team. Delivering 2nd and some 3rd line support to customers based across a number of technologies in line with customer contracts and SLA’s. Managing and taking the lead when required.

Experience:

Microsoft Windows Server Operating System (2008, 2012, 2016) and key roles, including; Active Directory, DNS, DHCP IIS, FTP and Clustering.
VMware ESXi 5.1 – 6.x, vSphere SRM and vSphere Replication.
Microsoft Hyper-V 2012 – 2016.
Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
Backup and Replication Solutions (HP Data Protector, Veeam, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, Backup Exec).
Exchange 2007, 2010 and 2016.
Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager.
Antivirus solutions.
Fortinet Appliances.
HP and IBM Tape Libraries.
Storage systems. (Dell SAN Storage, Synology, HP 3PAR, and IBM DS and Storwize)
Compute Hardware. (Dell, IBM, HP)
Microsoft SQL Server.
Network switching and routing experience. (Ubiquiti, Netgear, Dell, HP)
PowerShell scripting.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbally) in English
Assertiveness in the face of the customer when needing to explain or defend a technical standpoint or approach

Qualifications:

Microsoft MCSA / MCSE
VMware VCP
Veeam Certified Engineer
Fortinet NSE 4 – Professional
ITIL Foundation

Full driving licence and own transport.
