We are looking for an experienced Brand Manager to join a Financial Services Company in Cape Town. This position involves working closely with the Brand Marketing Manager to support and execute a range of brand initiatives, with a strong focus on media and advertising.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand and Advertising Management:
- Oversee and manage specific brand-related projects, especially when the Brand Marketing Manager is unavailable.
- Collaborate with external advertising and fulfilment agencies to ensure the successful delivery of brand campaigns.
- Provide strategic input and direction to creative teams, guiding the development process from concept to completion.
- Ensure that all projects resonate with the target audience and adhere to the corporate identity.
- Develop and manage creative and media briefs, contributing to media planning, strategy, and budget management.
- Utilize research insights to craft actionable strategies and improve project outcomes.
- Handle the management and distribution of branded collateral for assigned projects.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Partner with various internal teams, such as Digital Marketing, Content, Retail Events and Distribution, and Institutional Clients, to execute brand-related projects effectively.
- Ensure website content and user journeys align with the corporate identity, working closely with the digital team.
- Support client-related initiatives and events across different business segments.
- Engage with various internal departments to deliver comprehensive marketing support across the organization.
Compliance and Legislation:
- Translate regulatory requirements into brand projects and ensure their successful implementation.
- Manage the application of product or technical changes as required by legislation, ensuring compliance across all brand activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Preferably a BBusSci degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Commerce or Marketing.
- At least five years of hands-on experience in brand, media, and advertising management.
- A proven track record in managing successful brand and advertising campaigns.
- Strong technical marketing skills and a good understanding of the company’s products are a plus.
