As a Senior Applications Analyst, you will work closely with the Applications Manager to support and enhance the performance of our business applications. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing various applications, including MS Dynamics Nav, IVS, SQL Server, Paragon, SQL Reporting, Phixflow, Power Apps, interfaces & portals, and bespoke software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Applications Manager in maintaining and improving application performance and service levels.
  • Provide technical support via the service desk application, offering advice and guidance to users.
  • Contribute to application developments, audits, integrity checks, and change management processes.
  • Deputize for the Applications Manager as needed, leading meetings and updating stakeholders.
  • Monitor the applications service queue, handle complex incidents, and assist junior team members.
  • Support ITIL processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
  • Play an active role in the continual development and improvement of all business applications.
  • Produce technical reports and management information as required.
  • Conduct daily checks to ensure the continuity of application services.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and provide support and training to application users.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics Nav or MS Business Central systems.
  • Experience in an Applications Maintenance/Application Development team.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL Server, including T-SQL querying and security.
  • Knowledge of release-based application development and the development lifecycle.
  • Ability to analyse customer requirements and translate them into change requests.
  • Experience with user acceptance testing and change implementation.
  • Familiarity with core technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure.
  • ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Project management, analysis skills, Kanban or Agile experience.
  • Working experience with the Data Protection Act 1998 or in a secure data environment.
