An IT Managed Services Provider with a growing team in Cape Town is looking for an experienced 3rd Line Support Engineer. You’ll provide remote and onsite support to clients globally and be involved in technical support, projects, maintenance, and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st to 3rd line support via email, phone, and remote access.
- Visit SA client sites for troubleshooting and implementing IT solutions.
- Handle Microsoft (Cloud & On-Premise) and 3rd party application issues.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on complex problems and projects.
- Work flexible hours to support global clients (on-call rota).
- Ensure system optimization and provide user training.
- Document systems and processes.
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Windows (7-11), Servers, Active Directory, Cloud Platforms (M365, Azure), and network technologies (VLAN, VPN, Firewalls).
- Understanding of enterprise endpoint protection, SIP/IP systems, and backup technologies.
- Familiarity with virtualization and infrastructure maintenance.
Desirable Certifications/Experience:
- Microsoft 365, HP, Fortigate, SonicWall, Dell.
- Mac OS, SharePoint Configuration, Autotask PSA/RMM.
- Project management or presales experience is a plus.
