To support our client in the design and developing of learning and practicing experiences. The goal is to facilitate learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner. The successful incumbent will be required to work in a fast paced start up environment while drawing on respected, experienced and established university resources. This opportunity is suitable for someone who has a desire to change and shape online education, and be part of a team that is building quality, engaging and far reaching education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with subject matter experts and university partners to understand varying student needs, identify learning outcomes and apply learning design methodology
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that achieve learning outcomes
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Manage the creation of supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations etc)
  • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
  • Manage project timelines, liaise with subject matter experts and ensure project deadlines are met
  • Maintain project documentation

  • Minimum of 2-5 years Instructional Design experience
  • Proven working experience in instructional design, with instructional technology preferable
  • Knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
  • Advanced knowledge of the Education industry


  • A degree with a focus on Communications, Media, Language or Education
  • Postgraduate degree advantageous
